Log line:

A girl battling leukemia falls into a well of paranoia when she experiences visions of a tumor-covered creature.

‘The Rotting of Casey Culpepper’ began as a short film written and directed by Daniel Slottje. It made history becoming the first horror film in history to be admitted to the Telluride Film Festivals ‘Filmmakers of Tomorrow, Student Prints’ section.

The feature screenplay of the same name, written and to be directed by Slottje, was admitted to the Sundance Producers Lab in ‘22, which only accepts 5 projects a year.

The feature version of ‘The Rotting of Casey Culpepper’ is in active development in collaboration with producer Matthew R. Cooper, Indus Valley Media, and the Sundance Institute, with partial funding secured.
